SoloistStephen Hulbert began singing at the age of three and was greatly inspired by watching the Donny & Marie Osmond variety show. He enjoyed music class as a child in school and was a member of the Our Shepherd Boys Choir at Our Shepherd Lutheran School in Birmingham, Michigan under the direction of John Wittrock. In high school, Stephen was a member of the Sterling Silver Show Choir from Sterling heights High School under the direction of Jane Christy. After graduating, he attended Macomb County Community College where he performed with the Macombers Show Choir and Chamber Choir under the direction of Stuart Scott. He studied private voice with Patricia Willington. Stephen transferred to Eastern Michigan University where he completed his Bachelor of Music Education and participated in both the Eastern Michigan University Concert Choir and Chamber Choir under the direction of Leonard Riccinto. Stephen's primary voice coach while he attended Eastern was Glenda Kirkland. Stephen enjoys singing standards, hymns, sacred music, adult contemporary pop and musical theater.
